The American Boychoir to Perform at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- For over 70 years, The American Boychoir has been enriching the cultural life of the Nation by bringing its unique and joyful sound to people around the country and the world. Experience the incomparable and electrifying voices of The American Boychoir under the musical leadership of Litton-Lodal Music Director Fernando Malvar-Ruiz at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on February 23, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 7801 Bay Branch Drive at Kuykendahl in The Woodlands.

Enjoy a rare opportunity to hear the Nation’s leading professional concert Boychoir with a program as diverse and dynamic as the boys themselves. The Boychoir’s Southwest Tour includes classical music, jazz arrangements, and music from around the world including Brazilian Rainforest dance music. The St. Anthony Choristers will also be performing some selections alone and with the American Boychoir.

Boys in grades 3-7, who love to sing, are encouraged to audition after the concert. No preparation is necessary. More information about The American Boychoir can be found at americanboychoir.org.

The American Boychoir continues to dazzle audiences with its unique blend of musical sophistication, effervescent spirit, and ensemble virtuosity. Boys in grades 4 through 8, reflecting the ethnic, religious and cultural diversity of the US, come from across the country and around the world to pursue a rigorous musical and academic curriculum at The American Boychoir School. Maintaining an active national and international touring schedule, the ensemble performs and records regularly with such world-class artists and ensembles as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, soprano Jessyé Norman, pop diva Beyoncé, and Sir Paul McCartney. In addition to over 110 solo concerts each season, The American Boychoir has been extensively recorded and broadcast on radio and television, with some forty-five commercial recordings to its name.
