Celebration To Honor Organization’s Philanthropic Efforts

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- When Woodlands resident Dana Pritchard began The Woodlands Car Club in 2001 its mission was to give car enthusiasts an outlet to create friendships, foster relationships with local business and create awareness for local non-profit organizations in Montgomery County.

Eight years later, The Woodlands Car Club continues to welcome new members and find fun and innovative ways to give back to the community.

On Sunday March 8, visitors to Market Street – The Woodlands are invited to celebrate The Woodlands Car Club’s 8th Anniversary from 10 a.m. – noon with breakfast, photos and a display of some of the most unique vehicles from the club’s members. As part of the festivities, the car club will make a donation towards Market Street’s Change for Charity program.

The Woodlands Car Club began as a social organization formed from local car enthusiasts sharing a passion for automobiles of all kinds. Each year, the club donates proceeds from their annual car shows to local non-profit organizations in the Montgomery County area. Since its inception in 2001, the club has donated over $40,000 to local non-profit, some of which include the Montgomery County Women's Center, Montgomery County Humane Society, Montgomery County Food Bank, The Community Clinic, New Danville and Parents Against Cancer.

“We are just a small group of volunteers, but we are very dedicated and enthusiastic about our cause,” says Woodlands Car Club President Dana Pritchard.

The Woodlands Car Club meets the first Sunday of each month. After the anniversary celebration, the car club will continue their monthly meetings at Market Street from 10 a.m. – noon during the months of April and May. All interested car enthusiasts are invited to join.
