Montgomery County jobless rate drops to 7.5 percent

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Texas Workforce Commission has reported Montgomery County's unemployment rate for March dropped to 7.5 percent, down from February's 7.6 percent and January's 7.7 percent. In March, Montgomery County added 1,032 jobs.

The County's unemployment rate bested the Texas (8.1 percent) and U.S. (8.8 percent) unemployment rates for March. Texas added 37, 200 non-agriculture jobs in March.
