Woodlands restaurants open for Thanksgiving Day

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Thanksgiving is a special time to enjoy traditional turkey and dressing and visit with family...or is it? If you are like many who may be working, unable to visit family, or maybe just too tired to cook up that huge traditional "Turkey Day" meal there are many dining options for your special day.

Here in The Woodlands there are over 30 restaurants within a few square miles, so you are sure to find a restaurant you love open on Thanksgiving Day! Whether you want the traditional turkey dinner or something off the beaten path, many local restaurants can fill your spirits on any budget.

Among the many traditional Thanksgiving Day meals, Hubbell and Hudson will offer their unique twist of culinary offerings for a $69 four-course meal from 12-8 p.m. Menu items include jumbo lump crab salad, fairytale pumpkin bisque, and free-range all-natural hoka turkey roulade. The Woodlands Resort will offer a Thanksgiving Brunch including eats such as Virginia ham, roast turkey, shrimp cocktail, and an array of specialty desserts. Seatings are from 11 a.m.- 12:45 p.m. in The Glass and The Woodlands Dining Room. Pricing is $52 per adult, $22 for children 6-12 and $15 for children 2-5; pricing excludes tax and gratuity. Reservations are required by calling 281.364.6292.

Another buffet-style Thanksgiving menu will be available at Landry's Seafood. There will be a carving station for various meats, made-to-order pasta, and a large selection of seafood items. The buffet will be open from 10:30 a.m.- 8 p.m. and costs $26.99 for adults and $9.99 for children ages 4-12.

Of course, the traditional buffet restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving Day. Luby's is offering a $10.99 special for dine in or to go. Another option is their fully cooked meals to go with four choices that range from $54.99 to $109.99. They are open from 11 a.m.- 8 p.m.
