U.S. Marine and Motivational Speaker to speak to Woodlands Lions Club

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- On Thursday, August 22 The Woodlands Lions club is proud to host United States Marine, elite athlete, and motivational speaker Jeremy Williams at their noon luncheon at Carrabbas Italian grill on I-45. Jeremy Williams deployed to Iraq 3 times for direct combat operations. During his third tour he was injured in the line of duty in service to his country by an improvised explosive device. Jeremy was later medically evacuated and returned to the US. In December of 2011, Lance Corporal Jeremy Williams was honorably retired from active duty permanently.

Since retiring from active duty, Jeremy has competed at a national level in Judo, served as a consultant to Houston Mayor Anise Parker, earned a professional certificate from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, and founded his own business leadership and strategy consulting firm – Hashmark Strategies.

Some of the accolades that Jeremy has been awarded include being named a National Military Scholar by the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, a Certificate of Appreciation from President George W. Bush, a Certificate of Appreciation from the US Olympic Committee, and the Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal by the Secretary of the Navy.

Jeremy Williams is the proud father of two Sons, Vincent and Noah, and resides in Montgomery County Texas. He will earn a degree from Sam Houston State University in December of 2013 and looks forward to growing his business in The Woodlands and throughout Montgomery County.
