Conroe ISD 'Salute to Our Veterans' a success

CONROE, Texas -- The Conroe Independent School District had a great turnout at the Conroe ISD "Salute to Our Veterans" ceremony today at the Moorhead Stadium. The community was invited to join together to pay tribute to the many who have honorably served our country.

Congressman Kevin Brady and Major Mike Bean addressed the crowd. Both addressed and thanked many people, including veterans and their families.

“There is a distinct difference between veterans and veterans’ families,” stated Major Bean, “we as veterans had a choice where our families did not.”

Approximately 300 cadets participated in the Military Pass in Review. The Oak Ridge High School Band provided music on the field, and The Woodlands College Park High School choir and the Oak Ridge High School orchestra also performed.

Veterans and members of the community shared in this patriotic event as we all honored our veterans for their service and sacrifice. Thank you veterans!
