THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Formed through plant extraction and distillation, essential oils provide a range of remedies for those interested in a natural way of healing. They have been utilized in alternative medicine, aromatherapy, and also as stress reducers.

Jodi Motto, a resident of The Woodlands with a health education degree from Texas A&M University, became interested in essential oils about five years ago and has maintained an interest in them ever since. She has attended classes explaining the use of essential oils and now, she teaches her own. Jodi teaches at least 2-3 times a month and also does 1 on 1 meetings, consultations, home visits, and webinars.

“I started using essential oils when my daughter suffered from severe respiratory issues. Two oil blends helped her so much that she didn’t have to return to the respiratory doctor,” said Jodi Motto.

Jodi prefers to use Young Living essential oils due to the company’s high efficacy, passion, and ethical approach. Additionally, Young Living has been in business for more than 20 years and has a “seed to seal” process which is important for the purity of the product.

“Gary Young is a passionate founder and has high standards. Young living owns their own farms and so people can see how and where they’re sourced,” says Motto.

Jodi’s advice regarding essential oils is that people should be cautious about what they are using. “If the bottle has an expiration date or says ‘do not ingest’ then people should be cautious because pure essential oils will never need these labels,” says Motto. She would like to tell people to not be afraid of essential oils, and that if it seems overwhelming, then they should find someone to help them do some research.

“Essential oils are not just for physical use, but also for mental, emotional, and psychological use. It is for the mind, body, and soul,” says Motto.
