Athletes To Watch

Tom Cochrane (senior) is a very commanding and skillful goalkeeper. Tom is the anchor to our defense. He is responsible for organizing the group and does a tremendous job of making saves and keeping our team in the game.

Wesley DeMarco (junior) is in his second year on the varsity team at Cooper, Wes will be moving to a new position this season and will have a much greater role with the team. As one of our key midfielders, he will be asked to help on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

Challenges

The biggest challenge will be replacing the leadership from last year’s team. We had very strong seniors last season and this season we will have a very young team that will need to develop very quickly once SPC district play starts. Additionally, the group has not played together much, so we will need to develop our chemistry on the field through the first part of the season.

Key matchups

All games are going to be very competitive, and SPC district play is the most important part of our season. Past tradition shows that those games will to be key to our season:

• Cooper vs. Kinkaid on 1/29/2016

• Cooper @ Episcopal on 1/19/2016

• Cooper @ St John 2/2/2016

Season Goals

• To honorably represent Cooper and continue the winning tradition

• Qualify for end of season SPC tournament

• Outscore last season’s total number of goals scored

2014-15 Boys’ Soccer Accomplishments:

Season Record: 6-12 SPC Record: 3-4 SPC Tournament: 1-2
