CONROE, Texas – With debate raging in Congress, the largest gun rights and pro-life organizations in America are backing U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady in the GOP primary race for Congress.

Brady boasts an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association and a 100% pro-life voting record with National Right to Life.

“On behalf of our five million members across the country, we are proud to endorse your candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives in this primary, based on your consistent and proven voting record on Second Amendment issues”, declares Chris W. Cox, chairman of the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund.

“Throughout your career you have consistently opposed attempts to ban lawfully-owned firearms and magazines, stood firm against President Obama’s gun control…and recently opposed his unconstitutional Executive Action on gun control.”

Cox also applauded Brady’s co-sponsorship of HR 986 which ensures law abiding Americans with a valid concealed handgun permit are allowed to carry their concealed firearm to any state that doesn’t prohibit it.

Both National Right to Life and Texas Right to Life, led by Jim and Elizabeth Graham, say Brady is their champion for the unborn in Congress.

“All voters who are concerned with the right to life and with the protection of the most vulnerable members of the human family should vote to return (Brady) to Congress, so that you can continue to work to advance vital pro-life public policies,” wrote David N. O'Steen, executive director of National Right of Life in a January 15th endorsement letter. “We strongly commend you for maintaining a perfect 100 percent pro-life voting record throughout your years of service in Congress.”

The pro-life groups cite Brady’s leadership opposing taxpayer funding of abortion, repealing ObamaCare, blocking funding of Planned Parenthood and support of legislation that protects unborn children at 20 weeks. Brady, an adoptive parent, is a leading voice in Congress for adoption as a loving alternative to abortion. He helped write the bill defunding Planned Parenthood which President Obama vetoed.

“I’m proud to fight for our Second Amendment rights, and for the rights of the unborn,” said Brady. “For me, pro-life isn’t merely an issue position, it’s my family.”
