THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The John Cooper School Fine Arts Council is pleased to announce that Fiona Davis, the New York Times bestselling author of The Lions of Fifth Avenue, The Spectacular, and other acclaimed historical fiction novels, will serve as the keynote speaker for the 21st Annual Signatures Author Series luncheon. The event will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center.

Fiona Davis is widely celebrated for her richly layered novels that explore iconic New York City landmarks through the lens of dynamic female characters. Her books include The Spectacular (her most recent novel prior to The Stolen Queen), The Magnolia Palace, The Masterpiece, The Dollhouse, and The Lions of Fifth Avenue—a Good Morning America Book Club pick. Her newest novel, The Stolen Queen, was released in January 2025 and continues her signature blend of historical intrigue and contemporary relevance. A former actress turned novelist, Davis brings a unique storytelling voice that has captivated readers around the world. Her work has been translated into more than a dozen languages, and she is a regular guest at literary festivals, libraries, and book clubs nationwide.

For a fun lead-up to the event, fans can enjoy two exciting social activities available on her website: a Met Scavenger Hunt for anyone traveling to New York City, and a Book Club Kit to help readers prepare for the Signatures experience.

The Signatures Author Series is a beloved annual literary event that supports fine arts programs at The John Cooper School and benefits a community beneficiary. Last year’s beneficiary was Children’s Books on Wheels, a nonprofit providing free books and educational resources to underserved families. The 2025 literacy beneficiary will be announced in the coming months.

This much-anticipated luncheon has welcomed many notable authors in years past, including Barbara Bush, Dave Barry, Mitch Albom, Anthony Bourdain, Gillian Flynn, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Elin Hilderbrand, and, most recently, Lisa Jewell. In addition to the keynote address, the event includes book signings, local visiting authors, and a Signatures-themed drawing.

Tickets for the 2025 event are expected to sell out quickly. Early registration for table sponsorships and individual reservations is highly encouraged for the best seating options.
