Township to offer spring break camps

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Township will be offering spring break camps, Monday, March 14 through Friday, March 18, 2016, at The Woodlands Township Recreation Center, located at 5310 Research Forest Drive.

Sunny Dayz Camp – Each day, children will play games in the gym, go to the park, make crafts, watch a movie, participate in special activities, and more! Camp is held Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and geared towards ages 5 to 12. The fee is $50 per day, per child. Sibling and whole-week registration discounts are available.

Cook, Learn, Grow — Spring Break Cooking Camp – Young chefs will have fun while learning food origins, technique skills and safety. Camp is held Monday through Thursday. The camp is geared towards ages 5 to 13. Children in grades K to 5 meet from 9 a.m. to noon and children in grades 6 to 8 meet from 2 to 5 p.m. The fees are $220 per resident child and $230 per non-resident child.

Engineering for Kids – Camps with a focus ranging from Minecraft to superheroes are available for your little engineer. Junior Engineers: Hero’s Week and Space Pioneers Video Game Design is geared towards ages 5 to 8 and offers a great way to learn how to make video games while playing them. Apprentice Engineers: The Amazing Race and Minecraft — Traveling into the Future is geared towards ages 8 to 11 and gives students the opportunity to engineer designs that traverse the most treacherous terrain, brave the stormiest seas, and soar above the clouds. Camps are held Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with half-day options from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. available. The fee for a full-day of camp is $385 per resident child and $395 per non-resident child. The fee for a half-day of camp is $250 per resident child and $260 per non-resident child.
