Ruben Campos named executive chef of Jasper's The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Jasper’s announced that Ruben Campos has been named Executive Chef of The Woodlands location.

Campos will be leading the kitchen operations, from development of staff to overseeing quality control. He is looking forward to creating nightly specials and seasonal dishes to enhance the award- winning gourmet backyard menu.

Growing up in Katy Texas, Campos is no stranger to the restaurant business and has learned the business from the ground up. He started waiting tables at 18 years old and was asked to help out in the kitchen. He soon discovered that he loved “the back of the house, much more than the front of the house.”

Campos has worked for Jasper’s since 2008 as Operations Manager and Executive Sous Chef. Prior to that he was a chef for Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Zea Woodfire Grill and Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen in Dallas.

“Ruben is a creative chef and willing to try new things,” noted Frank Santos, Jasper’s The Woodlands General Manager. “He is not afraid to push culinary boundaries with wine and specialty dinners and I am looking forward to new and exciting menu additions to entice our guests to try something new.”

Campos is a family man who enjoys spending time with this wife and 6 children.
