THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Nothing new here for The Woodlands volleyball. The Highlanders will go into Tuesday’s matchup with the College Park Cavaliers ranked highly in both state and national coaches’ polls.

The one slight change in this year's meeting between the two will be the Highlanders coming off a tough loss to another state-ranked team in Oak Ridge. The Woodlands will be led on the court by senior AJ Koele and junior Courtney Heiser, who lead the team in kills.

College Park is no easy test for the Highlanders. Coming in as one of the best teams in Houston, South Florida commit CC Clausen and the Cavaliers will give The Woodlands all they can handle as they match up well against the Highlanders. Clausen broke College Park’s career digs record earlier in the season and will continue to add to her already impressive record.

Coach Wade for the Highlanders and Coach Collins-Gibson will both expect for their teams to come out victorious on Tuesday night. Collins-Gibson has been at the helm of College Park Volleyball since 2007 as Wade has since 2015 taking over for Coach Madison, who is the wife of College Park head football coach Lonnie Madison. Wade and the Highlanders won their first meeting with the Cavaliers at home three sets to one. The Cavaliers will look to do the same as the Highlanders and to protect their home court.

The Woodlands will come into this one ranked third in the state and 25th nationally with an overall record of 30-2 and a district record of 7-1. The Cavaliers, ranked in the top 40 in the state, come in with an overall record of 22-7 and a 5-3 district record.

The game, which will be broadcast live by Woodlands Online, will be held at College Park’s main gym on Tuesday Oct. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
