Montgomery County Sheriff's Office looking for suspect in numerous car burglaries and thefts

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating numerous thefts of a motor vehicles as well as burglaries of a motor vehicle that are occurring in neighborhoods off of FM 1097. In all instances vehicles were left unlocked with valuable property such as keys, wallets and, most concerning, firearms.

On October 10, 2017, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received numerous calls regarding vehicles that had been burglarized in the Bentwater neighborhood off of FM 1097.

Deputies arrived on scene and discovered that five vehicles had been broken into and numerous items taken including wallets and firearms.

On October 13, 2017, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received numerous call regarding vehicles that had been burglarized in the Seven Coves neighborhood off of FM 830. Deputies arrived on scene and completed thorough investigations obtaining fingerprints and camera footage pertaining to eightseparate burglaries. All vehicles were left unlocked with numerous items taken including wallets and firearms. Also, one vehicle was stolen during the burglaries that was later found and recovered.

On October 15, 2017, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received numerous calls regarding vehicles that had been burglarized in the Point Aquarius neighborhood off of FM 1097.

Deputies arrived on scene and discovered that six vehicles had been broken into and one vehicle was reported stolen. All vehicles were left unlocked with numerous items taken including wallets and firearms. Deputies and Detectives are following up on numerous leads regarding the burglaries.

Sheriff Rand Henderson wants to remind residents to remember and practice TLC. “T”=Take your keys, “L”=Lock your car, “C”=Conceal/Hide your valuables out of sight.
