THE WOODLANDS, Texas—Two wins away from yet another perfect record in district, The Woodlands will travel to Montgomery on Friday night to take on the Bears and remain perfect.

Not much more can be said about the Woodlands success in district 12-6A. The Highlanders are coming off an impressive season where they reached the state final with a perfect overall record. This season has seen nothing too different for the Woodlands. They remain the kings of District 12-6A, which ranks near the top in talent.

The Highlanders have been clicking on all sides of the ball this season, and without their last second loss to top-ranked Katy, they would more than likely be the #1 ranked team in the state of Texas. With key players like Kesean Carter, Quinton Johnson, Jackson Shearer, and Bryeton Gilford the Highlanders have blown out every opponent since.

Standing in the way of the Highlanders unblemished district record is Montgomery. The Bears, led by senior quarterback Jordan Hood, have put themselves in position to grab the fourth and final playoff spot from West Brook. Hood scored a total of four touchdowns last Saturday to give the Bears a 42-14 victory over College Park. The senior also has a productive running back Alex Nunn to help carry the high-scoring offense.

The Woodlands will look to keep their success going as they prepare for another playoff run in hopes to reach their second straight state final. Coming in at 5-1 overall, the Highlanders look to make it six wins in a row on Friday night at Bear Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
