THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Steve Guinn, president/CEO of Hodges Collision Center, took the opportunity to create more awareness about the challenges of children with autism when they recently hosted The Woodlands Area Chamber Business After Hours, and presented an unexpected donation of $10,000 to benefit the Texas Autism Academy.

The Texas Autism Academy, located in The Woodlands/South Montgomery County, is a private school dedicated to providing a unique educational plan for children diagnosed with Autism. The academy opened in September of 2017.

“Texas Autism Academy is close to Deborah and my hearts because our beautiful grandson faces the challenges of autism, and we wished this academy had been here before they had to move north of Dallas to find a curriculum similar to the one used here,” stated Steve Guinn during his presentation remarks. “Having visited the Academy and seen firsthand the tremendous impact they are having on their students, we would love to see this organization grow and flourish in order to be able to help more children. Hodges Collision Center is happy to make a donation of $10,000 to the Texas Autism Academy.”

Cary Leakey Mollinedo, president and one of the founders said, “I can’t begin to express our gratitude to Hodges Collision Center for this generous donation to our project. As with any startup operation, financial pressures can be immense and this kind of support really helps us focus on our students. Thank you Hodges Collision Center!”
