THE WOODLANDS, Texas— After a Klein Collins loss to Klein on Oct. 19, The Woodlands football now sits alone at the top of District 15-6A. The two teams will meet on Nov. 2 at Woodforest Bank Stadium for the District 15-6A crown.

The Woodlands will look for their seventh consecutive district title on Friday, their first in the new District 15-6A. Coming off a bye week, the Highlanders will lean heavily on their running back Bryeton Gilford. The junior led The Woodlands to a 45-13 victory over Conroe with four rushing touchdowns, all in the first half.

While the offense for the Highlanders has had success scoring all year, the defense has held every district opponent to under 20 points. Klein Collins currently scores the most points per game in District 15-6A this year with 34. A close second to the Klein Collins Tigers scoring is Klein, who the Highlanders held to one touchdown.

Klein Collins comes into the game with a star running back of their own, Under Armour All-American, Isaiah Spiller. Spiller, who recently flipped his commitment from the University of Oklahoma to Texas A&M, has rushed for over 1000 yards this season with 15 total touchdowns.
