Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy (Legacy Prep) 2019 seniors, Bethany and Grace Ann Hopkins, signed letters of intent with Biola University in La Mirada, California. The Hopkins girls will graduate on May 17, 2019 from Legacy Prep and will be running track for Biola.

“I have been so blessed for the opportunity to do what I love in high school and now in college. I have seen God work in mighty ways throughout this college journey, and I am so excited for this new adventure God is taking me on with my twin,” expressed Grace Ann Hopkins.

Bethany Hopkins added, “I am so excited about what God is doing in my life. I can’t wait to continue glorifying Him through my abilities in this new place!”

Founded in 2005, Legacy is comprised of grades pre-kindergarten through 12th. Legacy prepares students to be successful in college and life by providing a rigorous academic education that is rich in opportunities. Legacy is a University Model School certified by the University Model Schools International (UMSI), headquartered in Fort-Worth, Texas. Legacy is also accredited by AdvancEd.

Legacy Prep Athletic Director Clint McDonald stated, “We are very excited and proud of Grace Ann and Bethany being able to continue their track careers at Biola University! They are a great representation of a Legacy Lion and will do great things in the future for themselves and in the Lord's Kingdom.”

This is Bethany and Grace Ann’s second year attending Legacy Prep. For the 2018 track season, the girls were both members of the state championship 4x100 relay team. Grace Ann received silver in the state 200-meter race and Bethany received silver in the state 100-meter race. They are looking forward to another successful track season with Legacy for their senior year.

According to Wade Hopkins, Bethany and Grace Ann’s father, “It’s every parent’s dream to see their kids have success. We are excited the girls not only get to fulfill a dream of running in college, but also that they get to do it together. Julie and I are grateful for Legacy and their partnership with us as we seek to raise godly young girls.”
