MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - A Conroe area DPS Trooper was injured last night after being dragged by a fleeing motorist. The Trooper initiated a traffic stop and as he approached the vehicle, the driver appeared to reach for something under his seat. The officer made an attempt to stop the driver's movement, who then took off, causing the trooper to be dragged for a short distance on I-45 in Shenandoah. After an extensive, multi-agency search, the suspect was found and taken into custody. The Trooper was transported to the hospital with scrapes and road rash and is in stable condition. Be careful out there.
