The Howard Hughes Corporation Hosts A Preview Of The New Activity Center in The Woodlands Hills

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC) hosted a preview reception for community leaders, real estate agents, homebuilders and guests to tour the newly constructed 10,600-square-foot Activity Center at Founders Park in The Woodlands Hills®, Houston’s newest master planned community located 13 miles north of The Woodlands® in Conroe and Willis.

The highly anticipated new Activity Center in the 17-acre Founders Park in The Woodlands Hills debuts a 5,500-square-foot indoor/outdoor event space that can accommodate over 300 guests. The living room area is expanded through an overhead bi-fold door that opens, creating outdoor entertainment space. The Activity Center also showcases an interior demonstration kitchen complete with a refrigerator, freezer, ice maker and an easy access window to serve people outside.

The Activity Center truly has something for everyone from fitness and health to leisure, offering the opportunity to connect with neighbors. Just outside the Activity Center, residents can enjoy a zero-entry, resort-style pool highlighting deep-end jumping boulders, climbing wall, sunning decks and shade structures over portions of the pool and cabanas. A dedicated fitness pool with lap lanes is also featured. Perfect for gatherings and outdoor fitness are a sprawling event lawn, fitness lawn ideal for yoga, tennis courts, dog park, pavilion and miles of connected nature trails along the beautiful streams in the community.

The Activity Center was built with exposed corten steel, adding to the intricacy and artistic nature of its modern architecture. “We engaged with Studio RED Architects to create a unique architecture for the new Activity Center and Clark Condo & Associates to ensure the amenities fit the needs of our residents,” said Heath Melton, Senior Vice President, Master Planned Communities, Residential for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “The modern architecture is aesthetic as well as functional and inspirational.”

The Activity Center also includes a dynamic 5,100-square-foot fitness center, highlighted by state-of-the-art equipment for the ultimate workout experience, including Wellbeats™ virtual fitness program, treadmills, motion trainers, recumbent spin bikes and Precor® strength training machines.

A free, community-wide grand opening for the Activity Center will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 11 am until 3 pm open for the public to attend. Fitness presentations, cooking demonstrations, picnic fare, live entertainment and model home tours will be available.
