Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Attempts to Locate Stolen Firearm

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX - On April 30, 2019 at about 4:45 PM, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was advised that a customer left his backpack in a shopping cart at the New Caney Walmart located at 20310 Hwy. 59. The victim mistakenly left his backpack in the cart containing his Glock 23 .40 caliber pistol. The victim did not realize his backpack was missing until he arrived at work an hour later. Upon reviewing security video, an unknown white male pulled up next to the cart return in a Tan Dodge truck with rusted rear fender wells, and removed the backpack from the shopping cart.
