Montgomery County Sheriff Investigating Shooting at Sunset Spring in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On May 30, 2019, at about 5:00 pm. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the Sunset Springs Park located at 35 S Dreamweaver Cir, The Woodlands, TX 77380 in reference to a shooting. When Deputies arrived they discovered a young adult black male with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The male was transported to a local hospital where he is currently undergoing surgery. Deputies detained a 17 year old black male and arc currently interviewing him regarding what occurred at the park. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently being investigated and no other information is available at this time.
