'100 Deadliest Days of Summer' for Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- From Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, over 750 intoxicated drivers were taken off the streets by Montgomery County law enforcement. Two people were charged with intoxication manslaughter during this time period.

The “100 Deadliest Days of Summer”, starting Memorial Day Weekend and ending Labor Day Weekend, recently ended and law enforcement throughout Montgomery County worked to keep Lake Conroe and our roadways safe by increasing Driving while Intoxicated and Boating While Intoxicated Enforcement with the assistance of the MCDAO No Refusal Program. Those enforcement efforts throughout the summer resulted in the following arrest statistics for arrest during No Refusal Operation and outside of No Refusal Operations:


DWI arrests: 766 Blood Warrants Issued: 233
BWI arrests: 14 Voluntary Breath Test: 109
Voluntary Blood Tests: 363


On those total arrests, they break down as follows:
BWI 1st: 11 DWI with a Child: 30
BWI 2nd: 3 DWI 3rd or more: 80
DWI 1st: 522 Intoxication Manslaughter: 2
DWI 2nd: 132

Of those total arrests, the below were done during No Refusal Operations:
BWI 1st: 10 Blood Warrants issued: 141
BWI 2nd: 2 Voluntary Breath Tests: 47
DWI 1st: 233 Voluntary Blood Test: 157
DWI 2nd: 52
DWI with a Child: 20
DWI 3rd or more: 31

Over Memorial Day Weekend:
BWI Arrest: 5 Blood Warrants issued: 18
DWI Arrests: 36 Voluntary Breath Tests: 7
Voluntary Blood Tests: 17


Over Labor Day Weekend:
BWI Arrests: 1 Blood Warrants issued: 18
DWI Arrests: 61 Voluntary Breath Tests: 16
Voluntary Blood Tests: 25
