THE WOODLANDS, TX – Conroe ISD Superintendent Dr. Curtis Null, updated the public via Facebook Live March 16 at 6:00 p.m. Coordinator of Health Services, Barbara Robertson, also commented on Covid-19 in relation to the school district.

Dr. Null announced that all public schools within Conroe ISD, as well as the Greater Houston Area, will remain closed until April 10, with the goal of reopening to students April 13. He said that there will be a flood of information coming in regarding their new “remote learning” model very soon.

“We’re going to make this our new normal for the next few weeks and we’re going to make it great,” Dr. Null said.

There will be another Facebook Live soon (date to be announced) that will cover more information regarding the new curriculum. A staff member from the Guidance and Counseling Department will speak as well on how to deal with the stress of this situation.

Dr. Null said that there will be more Facebook Live videos to come, including videos directed toward educating students, such as book readings, and science experiments.

The school district will reevaluate this plan April 6 to decide if April 13 is still a viable start date.
