MiQuel said that before each vehicle is dispatched, its interior is cleaned from top to bottom. “It’s basically getting a detail job before it even goes anywhere,” he said. They even spray disinfectant in the trunk to keep customer luggage uncontaminated.

Fifteen minutes before the client gets into the vehicle, all visible surfaces, from the belt buckles to the seat backs, are wiped down with Clorox wipes. Once the client exits, the car is cleaned again. Each driver is equipped with his or her own facemask. They also have hand sanitizer to share with clients.

Beside thorough disinfecting methods, the biggest difference between C&S Executive Transportation and other transportation services is the limited amount of people in contact with the vehicles. Unlike other ride shares, and public transportation, their business is built on a reservation model, meaning that their cars hold an average of eight people per day verses 50 or 60. This significantly lowers the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

Any business in need of transportation services is urged to reach out, such as hotels that need to get guests to and from the airport, or around the city, and hospitals required to transport medical supplies and personnel.

“We hope to still be around at the end of this,” MiQuel said. “As a family that came in ‘89 from El Salvador and Guatemala, we’ve had the chance to basically live the American dream, and we have no plans on letting that dream die … we are doing everything to stay and continue to be here for anyone who requires transportation,” he said.
