SPRING, TX -- On May 1, 2020, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the 3900 block of Hirschfield Road in reference to a disturbance. Upon the deputy arriving, he identified two suspects in the front yard arguing as as Troy Meidinger and Domingo Cervantes.

Troy Meidinger then fired a shotgun in the direction of the Constable Deputy. The deputy gave commands for both suspects to get on the ground and surrender. Troy Meidinger fled inside his residence and Domingo Cervantes fled the scene in his vehicle.

Constable Deputies pursued Domingo Cervantes to his residence in the 7700 block of Hirschfield Road. He then fled on foot from deputies attempting to jump fences. Deputies were later able to detain both Troy Meidinger and Domingo Cervantes.

While speaking with witnesses, deputies noticed a hand grenade laying on the ground next to the front door. The bomb squad was notified and dispatched to the scene. The bomb squad located a second hand grenade inside the residence. Both hand grenades were inert and unable to cause any damage.

'They were both arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Troy Meidinger was charged with Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer and his bond was set at $100,000.00. Domingo Cervantes was charged with Evading and received a $5,000.00 bond out of the 208th District Court.' - Constable Mark Herman
