CONROE, TX - SJRA has begun 24-hour operating procedures for a rainfall event. #LakeConroe continues to be a few inches above normal conservation pool of 201’. Additional rain is expected through Thursday with 4”-8” average across the basin and isolated storms of more than 10 inches likely. We continue to follow operating procedures to gradually lower the level back to conservation pool of 201’. The Lake Conroe watershed received less than an inch of rainfall basin-wide yesterday.

Throughout the event, SJRA will be sharing information with the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS), Harris County Flood Control District, and emergency managers in both Harris and Montgomery counties. Residents should continue to monitor local forecasts and announcements from emergency management officials.

Please be weather aware. Be mindful of your vessels, docks, and any outdoor items if you live around Lake Conroe. Follow your local office of Emergency Management: Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and ReadyHarris. Real-time lake conditions can be monitored on www.sjra.net.
