THE WOODLANDS, TX — Art connects communities. It conveys ideas, brings forth emotion, and sparks a sense of kinship among us. It takes many forms; a paintbrush on canvas, a keyboard on stage, or an assortment of flowers within a bouquet.

As part of the art community, Piney Rose Flowers & Decor, recognizes the importance of supporting fellow creatives in The Woodlands. They held a Midsummer’s Eve Artists Gala, June 17, at their floral shop, to highlight local talent and raise money for aspiring youth.

All proceeds from the evening were donated to The Woodlands Arts Council’s Scholarship Program, which has awarded over $300,000 dollars to high school students since its inception.

“Helping other people, serving other people, and being able to lift up others, is a huge blessing,“ said Lead Floral Designer, Naomi Habegger.

“We find it important, art can be really impactful,” Amanda Lattimer added, Marketing Manager for Piney Rose. “We support them and their dream to pursue art.”

Aside from creating stunning floral arrangements, (click here to view some of Piney Rose’s swoon-worthy designs) both Habegger and Lattimer are painters themselves. They showcased their work at the gala alongside four other artists. If you’re looking for beautiful pieces made locally, be sure to check them out:
