COVID-19 Regional Infusion Center for Monoclonal Antibodies Now Open in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX --Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management in partnership with Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council (SETRAC), the Texas Department of State Health Services, St. Luke’s Health-The Woodlands Hospital and HCA Conroe Regional Medical Center will be opening a Regional Infusion Center for monoclonal antibody treatment today. The goal of the monoclonal antibody infusion treatments is to prevent ER visits and hospitalizations for qualifying patients with COVID-19. The monoclonal antibody treatment is particularly effective for high-risk COVID-19 positive patients with mild/moderate symptoms who are less than 10 days from onset of symptoms.

Monoclonal antibody infusion appointments are available beginning today. If you wish to receive an infusion, you must be referred from a medical provider and the referral packet can be found online through the SETRAC website at www.SETRAC.org.

Advancements in modern medicine have afforded us this unique opportunity to reduce the severity and duration of illness in those diagnosed with COVID-19. Our hope is that it will help decrease the number of individuals that will need to seek COVID-19 treatment in our already overburdened Emergency Rooms and Hospitals. Montgomery County is fortunate to have strong healthcare partnerships to help care for our citizens and those throughout the region.
