THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Brighter Education for Dyslexia, parent support group, is excited to announce a dyslexia family awareness event on Friday, October 1, 2021. All families, administrators, teachers and individuals who support dyslexia are welcome to attend.

At The Woodlands Township meeting on Thursday, September 16th a Proclamation was announced and read by Gordy Bunch, Chairman of The Woodlands Township, encouraging all citizens to support those affected by dyslexia in both academic settings and work environments. In addition, The Woodlands Township called the community to support the local community’s efforts to raise awareness by declaring October as National Dyslexia Awareness Month.

With this recognition, The Woodlands Township will light up the Woodlands Waterway Square fountains, water wall, the pedestrian bridge, the walkway by Riva Row House, along with the bandstand area at Hughes Landing RED starting Friday, October 1-10th.

As a community, let's celebrate this October Dyslexia Awareness by meeting at Waterway Square for a group photo in recognition of the hard work and perseverance of our students and families.

***We will be taking the group photo at approximately 8:15 pm. This is the estimated time of the sunset.
