Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County to “Raise the Roof” at 2027 Building Hope Gala

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Texas (Habitat MCTX) will host its 14th annual Building Hope Gala, presented by BMW of The Woodlands, on Saturday, April 17, 2027, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. The theme for the 2027 Gala is “Raise the Roof,” an immersive experience inspired by the Habitat build site.

The Gala will celebrate the completion of Habitat MCTX’s 129-home Cedar Creek community in Conroe and the continued construction of its new Marble Creek community in Magnolia, where home building began in June 2026. Guests will experience sensory vignettes throughout the evening that offer a glimpse into the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of a Habitat build site.

For the second consecutive year, BMW of The Woodlands will serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Building Hope Gala.

Habitat MCTX is excited to announce sisters Kris Gilot, Vice President, Service Operations, Salesforce Implementation for Insperity, and Kim Soderberg, REALTOR®, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate - Gary Greene, as Co-Chairs of the 2027 Building Hope Gala.

Kris has supported Habitat MCTX since 2021 and has served on the Building Hope Gala Committee for the last 5 years. Kim has supported Habitat MCTX on the Gala Committee since 2024. She previously served as a Gala Co-Chair in 2025 and returns to lead this year’s event alongside her sister.

Kris and Kim will lead a dedicated Gala Committee made up of community members who have invested their time and talents in the event over the years. Some Committee members have supported the Gala for more than a decade.
