December Happenings at The Woodlands Resort; Breakfast with Santa, Christmas Day Holiday Brunch, 2022 New Year’s Eve party & more!

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Relax and rejuvenate amidst 350 wooded acres at a property just ranked among the top three resorts in Texas by Travel + Leisure magazine. Whether this holiday season takes a turn for the cool or the warm, you’ll enjoy access to the heated Forest Oasis waterpark, daily activities to keep the kiddos entertained and a myriad of onsite offerings including golf, tennis, kayaking, sunset turtle feeding, nightly S’mores by the fire pit, plus bikes to discover the area’s numerous trails.

• The holidays officially kick off at The Woodlands Resort on December 5 with the annual Grand Illumination lighting event from 4 until 8 pm. Complimentary for resort guests and $20 per car for the public, the family friendly celebration will include live music, holiday movies, gingerbread house decorating, arts & crafts, letters to the North Pole, a visit from Santa and lots of free hot cocoa. The tree lighting will take place at 7 pm. The resort will be gathering non-perishable food donations for the Montgomery County Food Bank, and guests who attend the Grand Illumination and then visit onsite Back Table Kitchen & Bar for dinner will receive 15% off their bill.

• Special culinary offerings are also bountiful at the resort in December. Breakfast with Santa takes place Saturday, December 4, 11 and 18, plus Sunday, December 5, 12 and 19 from 9 am until 1 pm in The Woodlands Dining Room and is priced at $39 for adults and $20 for kids ages 6-12. It’s complimentary for ages 5 and under. A Christmas Day Breakfast Buffet also takes place in The Woodlands Dining Room from 7 am until noon and is priced at $24 for adults and $16 for children aged 6 through 12. Kids under 5 eat free.

• Christmas Day Holiday Brunch is served in the Grand Ballroom and available from 10 am until 3 pm with pricing of $75 per adult and $32 for children ages 5-12. The delectable spread showcases fare from each of the resort’s five chefs. Start at the Cold Table with items like marinated mushrooms, roasted beet with orange & crème fraiche and citrus cured olives & tabouleh. Hot Table fare ranges from evo seared wahoo and whole roast goose to seasonal vegetables and chili brined bone-in pork loin roast. A Build Your Own Mac & Cheese Station is complemented by mini hot dogs, bay shrimp and braised turkey meatballs. Breakfast specialties span pancakes, waffles, French toast, Florentine benedict, breakfast meats, fruit parfaits and juices. Rounding out the offerings are specials such as chicken tamales, Mexican hot chocolate, smoked Snake River Farms American Kobe and plentiful pastries and desserts.

• The resort’s Bring on 2022 New Year’s Eve party package will be limited to just 150 attendees and include luxurious overnight accommodations for two adults plus an evening full of festivities. Recently debuted Back Table Kitchen & Bar on the resort grounds and overlooking the waterfront 18th green of the Panther Trail Course will serve as the hole-in-one location for the night, featuring a three-course dinner, dancing with live music from a five-piece band (9 pm until 1:30 am), champagne toast at midnight and party favors. Rate range from $329 for double occupancy.

• All through the month from noon until 8 pm, stop by Santa’s Tavern the lobby, where there will be an assortment of holiday beverages for sale.
