The Woodlands Hotels Area General Manager Gregg Harper Named One Of Hotel Management Magazine's GMS To Watch

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Gregg Harper, a 30-year hospitality veteran, has been recognized by Hotel Management Magazine in their annual GMs to Watch list. Area General Manager for The Woodlands Hotels, Harper was one of only four Texas-based honorees – and the only one in the Houston area – to receive the national accolade this year. A premier portfolio of properties totaling 909 rooms and approximately 100,000 square feet of premier meeting and event space, The Woodlands Hotels include The Woodlands Resort, The Westin at The Woodlands and Embassy Suites The Woodlands at Hughes Landing.

The Woodlands Collection was recently acquired in a joint venture between CoralTree Hospitality and a private, institutional investor ahead of a multi-million capital investment program currently under development.

Harper reflects on this milestone, stating, “Seeing myself listed alongside industry leading peers from across the country is both an exciting and humbling milestone in my professional journey and speaks volumes to the capable team I am privileged to work with and that continue to inspire me each day. Harper has held his current role for nearly five years. Prior to that he was employed with CoralTree Hospitality as General Manager for Hotel Becket Lake Tahoe, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. He has also had general manager assignments at acclaimed properties such as Salishan Coastal Lodge in Gleneden Beach, OR; The Oxford Hotel in Bend, OR; Postcard Inn Beach Resort and Marina at Holiday Isle in Islamorada, FL; Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort in Hilton Head Island, SC; Kessler Canyon Ranch in Debeque, CO; Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, WA; and Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Coast, FL. The Washington State University alum earned his Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Motel administration in addition to his Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from Oregon State University.
