THE WOODLANDS, TX – Quote of the week: “I don’t mind going back to Daylight Saving Time; with inflation, the hour will be the only thing I’ve saved all year.” – Victor Borge

This week is technically shorter than the others because Saturday night we’ll all be “springing forward” an hour; so let’s make the most out of our suddenly truncated time with some events all week!

Tuesday, March 8
We don’t have to talk about inflation to know that sometimes it’s just a little too darn expensive to feed the entire family in style. Thankfully, we have Crust Pizza coming to the rescue. This and every Tuesday, all Woodlands area locations offer their ‘Kids Eat Free’ special. Take a break from the kitchen tonight and show your family some love. Each location is certain to have something for the entire family, from their award-winning gourmet pizzas, to salads, soups, pastas, desserts and more!

If you’ve been feeling a little landlocked and want to enjoy some entertainment with a water view, then look no farther than Margaritaville on Lake Conroe. Tonight they’re presenting live music with Thom Shepherd, who will perform alongside Michael Hearne. After recording several albums in the early 2000s – including the critically-acclaimed concept album Sight and Sound: Songs Inspired by the Fine Art of Northern New Mexico (winner of seven awards at The New Mexico Music Awards), Michael made his way to Nashville, Tennessee. There, he wrote and recorded 2011’s Life in America – after surviving the historic Nashville floods in 2010.

It’s been a full week and an intense weekend, and you need to take a little time today to reset, revive, and recharge yourself to face the Monday of tomorrow. Why not pay a visit to Blissful Waters Float Center? Luxurious “floating suites” allow you to waft your troubles away in, well, blissful solitude; and this weekend they are promoting their Lucia Light special. For those who don’t want to necessarily get wet, Lucia light uses wide spectrum solid white light plus LED flashing at various frequencies to relax and dilate the central nervous system, clear the mind and allows even beginner meditators to reach a state of peace. This brainful light show is a dry alternative to one of the center’s amazing float tanks.
