KATY, TX -- The men and women of Constable Mark Herman's Office commends Constable Ted Heap's Office and EquuSearch for finding Sherry Noppe, the Katy resident who had been missing since Tuesday.

The 63-year-old and her dog were located at approximately 3 a.m. Friday morning at the George Bush Park by a group of tireless volunteers and deputies who were alerted by the sound of her dog, Max, barking deep in the woods.

'It's a small miracle that she has been found alive after being missing for so long,' said Constable Ted Heap. 'Our concern now is getting her out of the woods and to a hospital for a medical evaluation. Thank you to Texas EquuSearch along with the army of volunteers and multiple law enforcement agencies who never gave up in her search.'






63-year-old Sherry Noppe of Katy, Texas was last seen the afternoon of May 3, 2022, near the 1800 block of Sparrows Ridge. Sherry went out to walk her dog and has not been seen or heard from since. Sherry may be very confused and disoriented. It is believed Sherry is in the company of her dog, a black Lab. If you see Sherry or her dog at or near George Bush Park or surrounding areas, please contact authorities immediately. Sherry is approx. 5’ 7” tall and weighs approx. 115 lbs. It is unknown what clothes Sherry was wearing at the time of her disappearance.
