Commissioner Noack Congratulates the Montgomery County Attorney's Office for Securing $3.1 Million in Funding to Fight Opioid Crisis

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Commissioner Noack congratulated the Montgomery County Attorney’s Office on working diligently to secure over $3.1 million dollars to the county in a recent Opioid lawsuit.
Commissioner Noack is committed to using these funds to fight the Opioid crisis in Montgomery County.

During a Commissioners Court meeting on May 10, 2022, with the vote of the court, Commissioner Noack created a committee consisting of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, County Attorney’s Office, Constables, Justice of the Peace, and the Forensics Department to place this funding in the hands of experts for their use in educating the public, technological resources, grant funding, medicine and the advancement of the Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team.

“I am committed to working with our local law enforcement agencies and experts in the field to fight the Opioid flooding taking place in Montgomery County,” Commissioner Noack said. “I hope together we can create a program the state and other agencies and counties can follow.”
