SPRING, TX -- Klein Oak High student Ari LeBlanc has received over 1.7 million dollars worth of merit scholarships, including full rides to six universities.

Out of 21 college acceptances and countless scholarship offers, Ari accepted Texas Christian University’s highest offered scholarship — the Chancellor’s (worth $215,000)!

“When I visited TCU for my Chancellor scholarship interviews, TCU truly impressed me. Everything they did had a purpose, from the acceptance and scholarship letters to the event itinerary,” Ari said. “Everything felt authentic and personal. The faculty and staff worked hard to ensure that all their students succeed and helped them throughout their college and professional career.”

Besides being strong in academics, this International Baccalaureate student also excels in extracurriculars. This dedicated student runs cross country and track and participates in seven honor societies. In addition, she has enjoyed volunteering for her neighborhood swim team and teaching swim lessons from her very own swim lesson business throughout high school.

Ari is also active in the community and participates in various activities, including community theater. She has performed in lead roles such as Queen of Hearts and Baroness in “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” Ari is also in Girl Scouts and recently earned her Gold Award.

When giving credit to her achievements, there is one person who Ari said her success would be impossible without — her mother.

“Applying to so many different schools and scholarships took time and effort,” Ari said. “My mom was a huge help in keeping everything organized and making sure I made all the necessary deadlines. She was also the one who encouraged me to try for these prestigious scholarships in the first place. I couldn’t have done it without her.”

After graduation, Ari plans to major in mechanical engineering and obtain an MBA.

Congratulations, Ari! We are so proud of you and the merit you have achieved from your stellar academics and extracurricular involvement. Your #KleinFamily is rooting for you as you turn the page of your next chapter in life.
