THE WOODLANDS, TX – While we definitely did get some good rain last week – to the extent that Woodlands Online Weather went into overtime posting severe weather and flood alerts – it seems like we’re past the brunt of it, at least for a while. This week – made short thanks to Labor Day – will have a little bit of everything for everyone.

Weather-wise, this seems to be a week of moderation

Monday will end up with cloudy skies that may or may not go away overnight. The cloudy skies will keep us from going over the 80s for our high temperature and a positively balmy 71 tonight.

As most of us trudge back to work on Tuesday, we can enjoy some mostly sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures, getting up to around 92. As Tuesday rolls into Wednesday, however, you can expect some clouds to come back to town, bringing some rains along with them, culminating in some afternoon thunderstorms. The rains will drop the temps down to 70 that night.

By Thursday morning, the wetness should be just about gone, and you can enjoy a partly cloudy – if not muggy – day with a high of 90. Friday will feel Goldilocks level of ‘just right’ with no real rain chances, mostly sunny skies, and a high of 90 and a low of 71. Slowly but surely, the weather is realizing that we’re only weeks away from autumn, and is starting to behave accordingly.

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
