Supporting Special Angels with Fire and Ice Event

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Recently, Special Angels of The Woodlands held their memorable annual masquerade party called Fire and Ice to help raise funds to enhance the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities. Guests were given the opportunity to not only dress up and wear wonderfully designed masquerade masks, but also be a part of a whiskey and wine pull, and enjoy various games and great music. In addition, there was a live and silent auction that allowed attendees to bid on cool items such as a guitar, signed sports memorabilia, gift baskets, and other great products. Masks were sold that had been colorfully decorated by Special Angels, and a mask contest helped add to the festivities. Special Angels of The Woodlands is a God honoring organization committed to enhancing the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities by providing the highest quality Day Activity Center, with a strong emphasis on both enjoying and serving our communities.

Pamela Lee-Carter, Chairman of the Board, said, “I want to thank everyone for coming out to our annual gala Fire and Ice. All of your support goes to a providing a dayhab for the special angels of the woodlands and is a nonprofit that provides education for individuals with learning disabilities.”



About Special Angels of The Woodlands

SAW Day Program operates an Activity Center Monday – Friday for adults with special needs. They plan fun activities for our clients both at the Center and out in the community. Their outings consist of birthday luncheons, trips to the library and the park, shopping, bowling, gardening, volunteering and going to the movies. At the Center they enjoy planning parties and making crafts, packing care packages for soldiers overseas, dancing and socializing with friends. Special Angels is a place where their clients feel at home.

The services they offer are important to both their clients and their families who benefit from respite time while their loved one is in our caring and capable hands. Here is a short video about us:
