DAISO Japan's 4th Houston Store to Open in Shenandoah

SHENANDOAH, TX -- Daiso, Japan’s favorite retail store known for selling quality items for $1.75, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its fourth Houston area store, The anticipated Shenandoah store will open to customers on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with grand opening promotions for early shoppers throughout the entire weekend. This Daiso store is located at 8821 Metropark Drive, Suite 1000, Shenandoah, TX 77385 (at Metropark Shopping Mall).

Daiso’s Expansion in the U.S.

The Shenandoah Daiso grand opening marks the Japanese retailer’s 86th store to open in the contiguous United States. The location is the 13th Daiso store in the State of Texas.

The 6,000 square foot retail store will feature the company’s signature $1.75 products including Halloween costumes and decor, school supplies, kitchenware, beauty supplies, stationery, gift wrap, greeting cards, electronics accessories, organizing and home goods, unique gift items, party favors and snacks. While the majority of items are priced at $1.75, some items may sell for slightly more.

Fun Shopping Experience and Viral Sensation

Daiso products are the subject of hundreds of “haul” videos featuring everything from cosmetics application to craft, slime and baking videos. Fans flood the web with how-to videos and tutorials using Daiso products. The stores’ grand opening celebrations often draw lines that snake around the building.
