THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Grand Oaks Grizzlies hosted the New Caney Eagles at The Bank (Woodforest Bank Stadium), Thursday night. New Caney has been tearing through the 13-6A district and looks to add another win to their already perfect district season. Grand Oaks is still looking for a win after their former head coach’s departure.

Unfortunately for Grand Oaks, New Caney would come to play once again and put up a quick 6 points on the board as Nehemiah Broussard would find Albert Pearson in the endzone.

Grand Oaks would struggle to make conversions on third down and would get shut down by the New Caney defense. Christian Nunley and Grant Smith would be heavily under pressure forcing overthrown passes to their receivers.

Kedrick Reescano would stretch his legs and even get a quick snap before he would run it in for 2 more touchdowns for New Caney. Up by 23, Broussard would find Tayte Baker and Eric Sanchez before the half.

New Caney would coast in the second half with what would seem like a running clock. The second half would only last a little over 30 minutes but in that time, Broussard would find Blaine Lucas for their final touchdown of the game.

New Caney would shut out Grand Oaks 44-0. They are set to face Cleveland next week while Grand Oaks travels to Moorhead Stadium to face Conroe.
