THE WOODLANDS, TX – The bright skies will hang around for the rest of today’s daylight hours as temps settle around the upper 80s. Shortly after sundown at 7 o’clock tonight, we’ll get a spike of cloud coverage. Overnight the clouds will diminish as will the mercury, with an overnight low in the mid 60s. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, maybe at the Pavilion to catch the Houston Symphony playing some spooky tunes, or perhaps cheering on your favorite high school football team as College Park squares off against The Woodlands.

Sunlight will give way to grey skies as the weekend progresses

Saturday morning will be mostly sunny, but in the early afternoon some significant cloud coverage will hit. The rains will keep at bay for the nonce, but the skies will be a 50/50 blend of grey and blue as the winds kick up a bit during the afternoon. Just before the clouds hit, we’ll make it up to 90 for a high, but the temps will rapidly plummet to another overnight low in the 60s. Maybe take advantage of the daytime weather by hitting Lovebeans Coffeehouse’s monthly market or the John Cooper School open house, then get warm and cozy as you catch Ronnie Milsap at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn.

For Sunday, the clouds will stick around all day, covering up about three-quarters of the sky, and throughout the afternoon and evening we just might get a spate of rain, but only enough to pattern your windshields or eyeglasses. Sounds like great weather to keep from getting overheated at The Texas Renaissance Festival. There won’t be any winds to speak of, but overnight the rains will kick in harder as a presage to a massive cold front that’ll hit us early next week…
