THE WOODLANDS, TX – The American Heart Association’s Montgomery County Heart Walk 2022 was a huge success last weekend at Northshore Park. More than 1,000 people braved the cold and enjoyed gorgeous weather when the sun came out.

The expo had hands-on CPR classes, selfie stations, red superhero capes for kids, a special “VIP” section for survivors, a farmers market where people could pick out heart-healthy produce that they'd never tried before, and of course lots of tips on healthy living and eating. The Walk kicked off with a Kids' Dash and then heart and stroke survivors led the way at the start line.

There are two more chances for people to join the fun: registration is still open for this Saturday, November 19’s Heart Walks: the Houston Heart Walk at the Univ of Houston main campus and the Northwest Harris County Heart Walk at Lone Star College's University Park campus.

The top sponsors for the event are Kiewit and Epic Piping. Memorial Hermann Hospital won the coveted Top Fundraising Company award.
