THE WOODLANDS, TX – Already, our near-total cloud cover this Tuesday morning is starting to wane, even as the winds out of the southwest kick in. Our rain chances will hover around 25 percent until late tonight, when clear, starry skies will break through. The accompanying high humidity will bring us up to a high that threatens to break 80 degrees, decidedly non-holiday weather.

A couple of cool days this week will give way to heat and rain

Tonight, the cloudless skies, dropping humidity, and rising winds will get us down into the 40s for our low, and the coolness will extend into Wednesday. Under sunny skies, we’ll hit a high in a more seasonable 60s range, and the steadily maintained winds will make it a good day to call in sick and go literally fly a kite. Another low in the 40s will get us back into the holiday mood.

Thursday will start off cool and clear, thanks to the rising pressure system coming through. But as the day progresses, the clouds will return, and the lessening winds will make them hang around for a while. The high of 63 will hit late in the afternoon, and we’ll only get into the 50s for the overnight low, thanks to a veritable heatwave blowing in.

Friday will push us into cloudy skies and temps that will soar into the upper 70s – but even that is a presage to an even warmer weekend. The clouds will hang around all day with moderate winds making it a tad cooler, but expect lows in the 60s and a wet weekend…

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
