SPRING, TX -- Abundant Harvest Kitchen teamed up with roughly 30 volunteers from the local area to provide more than 200 families 10 free meals, Tuesday, at the Abundant Harvest Food Pantry in Spring, Texas.

Volunteers loaded up pre-packaged boxes full of both healthy food options and savory treats to help families in need prepare for both the Holiday Season and upcoming weather change.

“Our mission is to feed the body, nourish the soul and transform the community,” said Abundant Harvest Executive Director Rev. Sean Steele. “This is our busiest time of the year and thanks to my incredible staff, our genourous volunteers and everyone who played a part in the food donations, we were able to ensure hudnreds of families gain a sense of security.”

Families also received free toys thanks to long-time partner the PTSD Foundation of America’s Houston Outreach team, who dropped off roughly 20 large trash bags of new children’s toys.

“Food is something we do all the time,” said Director of Operations Rob Garza, “and we love the reactions. Adding a couple brand new toys, truly brought about an even stronger reaction from those we helped. It was a great feeling.”
