The Woodlands Township facilities affected by winter weather

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township urges all residents to stay safe as Winter Storm Elliott will be blowing through The Woodlands beginning Thursday afternoon December 22, 2022, with subfreezing temperatures expected to last through the weekend.

The Woodlands Township offices will be closed Friday, December 23, 2022, and Monday, December 26, 2022, due to normal holiday closures.

The following Township services and facilities are expected to be affected by the freezing temperatures, including:

• Restrooms for The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation facilities, including pavilions, fields and courts will be closed Thursday night, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

• Riva Row and Lakes Edge Boathouses will be closed until Monday morning.

• Texas TreeVentures will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with regular hours resuming Monday, December 26, 2022.

• The Recreation Centers at Bear Branch and Rob Fleming will be closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which are normal holiday and Sunday closures.

• The Woodlands Express Park & Ride is closed Friday, December 23, 2022, and Monday, December 26, 2022, due to normal holiday closures.

• Town Center Trolleys will not operate on Friday, December 23, 2022, but are expected to run their regular schedule on Saturday and Monday (not running on Sunday, December 25, 2022).

• Pending weather delays, Waste Management expects to run regular schedules on Friday and Monday for all trash, recycling and yard waste services with no interruptions due to the holiday.
