THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Friday morning showers we deal with today are already dwindling, although the clouds are hanging around in full force. We’re already near our high of 56, and for the rest of the day we’ll maintain a slight chance of continuing rains to make this one damp and chilly end of the work week. It might be a good idea to hit a warm, inviting indoor venue such as Sawyer Park Ice House, who is playing host to ‘80s band The Spicolis tonight.

Today’s rains will make way for a sunny Sunday

The slight chance of rains overnight will increase come Saturday morning from our overnight low of 48. The daytime temps will struggle to get back into the 50s for a high as the near-complete cloud coverage and lingering rains dominate the day; fortunately mild winds will keep the chill factor down a notch. While the ‘real’ weather may be gnarly, you can create a starrier memory by heading over to Painting With a Twist to learn how to paint Houston Skyline Under a Starry Night.

As you tuck into bed on Saturday night with cloudy, wet weather outside, it may come as a bit of a shock on Sunday morning when you wake up to dry, sunny skies. Wind gusts reaching close to 15 mph will blow away the clouds as the sun helps get us into the lower 60s for a high. Midafternoon, however, the mercury will decide on a precipitous drop as we plunge down into the 30s for a low. To us, that sounds like perfect weather to grab a loved one and a blanket and head over to Margaritaville for their Lake Conroe Wine Tour.

The overnight weather will continue into Monday morning, which hopefully will put you in a good mood to handle the stormy weather coming later in the week…

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online, and be sure to check us out on Monday for our “Week Ahead” forecast.
