THE WOODLANDS, TX – The morning sun is already starting to disappear behind a cascade of clouds, blown in by some increasing winds from the south. A sudden dip in the humidity will surge our high temperature into an unseasonable 75 early this afternoon. Tonight we’ll enjoy some moderate low temperatures that will settle around 60 under cloudy skies.

Clouds will lead to storms will lead to sunny weather... welcome to The Woodlands

Tuesday will be basically a repeat of the day before, with fully-clouded skies, high humidity and dew point, and moderate winds all working together to get the highs up to the mid 70s and the lows around 60. As the day progresses, however, the chances of rain steadily increase.

Chances are, Tuesday night into Wednesday morning your lawns will get significantly watered by Mother Nature. But as we saunter into work that day, the thunderstorms will arrive in force, peaking midmorning and dumping up to a half-inch of rain before finally slowly dwindling. Even our high of 64 will be brief as the mercury drops dawn through the 40s for a low as we crawl into our beds to the sound of thunder.

On Thursday morning, the only reminder of the storms of the day before will be wet roads and nature-washed cars. The entire day will be sunny and clear, with a high in the crisp upper 60s. Rising pressure and dropping humidity will keep things gorgeous as the gnarly winds of the day before drop down to gentle breezes. We’ll enjoy another low of about 40, so keep the tea kettle hot for some late-night cocoa.

Friday will be absolutely beautiful, with another day of cloudless, sunny skies and a rising pressure that will keep out temps in the 50s. The winds will kick back in, but this time they won’t be driving rains sideways, so enjoy them, maybe with a kite-flying adventure at Northshore Park. As the low temps dip into the 30s, we can look forward to a somewhat decent weekend, but with a couple of storm warnings in the long-term forecast…

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
