Audition dates announced for Vitacca Summer Ballet in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Vitacca Vocational School for Dance, Houston and The Woodlands announce auditions for the 2023 Vitacca Summer Ballet Intensives at Houston and The Woodlands. The Intensive provides focused training for aspiring dancers ages 9-19. Auditions will be held in-person on February 26 and April 23 in Houston as well as March 4 and April 15 in The Woodlands. Video auditions will also be accepted through June 1. Auditions are required.

The Vitacca Summer Ballet Intensive (VSBI) is for classically driven, pre-professional dancers ages 9-19. VSBI offers focused, consistent, personalized training with the Vitacca School for Dance, Houston artistic staff and world-renowned guest faculty. Classes include Ballet Technique, Pointe, Modern, Variations, Conditioning and more. Unique to Vitacca Summer Ballet Intensive: Limited class sizes allowing personal attention from Intensive Faculty; Priority on technical growth and correction over final demonstration rehearsal; and Weekly parent observation days.

Directly following the Vitacca Summer Ballet Intensive weeks is the Classical Variation Week. This additional week of study offers the dancer (age 13+) daily technique classes, variation setting, variation research and artistic coaching. Dancer’s study multiple variations throughout the week to grow both technically and artistically.

Vitacca Summer Ballet Intensive 2023 Audition Calendar

Vitacca Summer Ballet Intensives in The Woodlands (June 5-16) & in Houston (July 24-August 11) offer training for dancers ages 9-19. Vitacca welcomes classically focused dancers to attend a 2023 audition. Please attend an in-person audition (2/26/23 Houston, 3/4/23 Woodlands) or submit an audition video by June 1, 2023. Dancers must provide a headshot at time of audition.

Houston 2/26/23:
• 11:00am–12pm Sign In,
• 12–1:30pm Audition (Pointe required for ages 13–19)

Woodlands 3/4/23:
• 10:45–11:15am Sign In (Ages 12–19),
• 11:15am–1:00pm Audition (Ages 12–19, pointe required);
• 1–1:30pm Sign In (Ages 9–11),
• 1:30–3pm Audition (Ages 9–11)
