THE WOODLANDS, TX – Community Assistance Center (CAC) brought brews, music, food, and fun to Southern Star Brewery in Conroe last weekend for its inaugural Hops for Hope fundraising event.

The outdoors event held something for everyone. For the kiddos, there was a bouncy house, inflated ‘axe throwing’ and horseshoes, and plenty of acreage to run around. For the grownups, local Americana string band Tomfoolery provided an energetic concert. Beer aplenty was served by the brewery, and a delicious selection of food was catered by Cedric Backyard Bar-B-Que. A silent auction, ticket sales, and donation opportunities were on hand to help raise funds.

Proceeds from the event will go to support the various programs and services CAC provides to those in need all across Montgomery County. Community Assistance Center programs are funded by companies and individuals who understand the financial commitment required to provide these basic needs services to clients on their path to self-sufficiency.

“We are so excited to be hosting this very first Hops for Hope event and thank Southern Star , everyone who’s shown up, and of course all our volunteers who make events like this possible so that we can help those in need in Montgomery County,” said CAC president and CEO Jennifer Huffine.

Sponsors for the vent included Apricity, Waste Connections, John & Debbie Templet, ZTERS, Friends of CAC, McKenzie's Barbecue & Burgers, Woodforest National Bank, The Weekly Business Hour radio show, Aaron & Adrienne Byrd, and Michael & Jennifer Huffine.
